Another November Sunset - Looking for shots has been a challenge lately...if I don't travel during the day it's a bit of a chore looking for things around the house to take photos of. Either that or another studio shot of my gear!! This here is Little Island Pond in Pelham, NH which is about 4 miles from my house but I had to travel a bit to get on the other side of the pond. All the roads that access the pond are private which makes it difficult to shoot. Anyway...this is the view that someone has every day.

Red Farm House - This here proves a theory wrong that the best time of day to shoot is morning or evening to get the best possible light. Here shot in the prime of November Autumn day shows a beautiful blue sky with striking contrast with the red barn. Along with the green grass and white fence it all comes together worthy to make a very nice New Hampshire calendar shot! Photographed in Nashua, NH.

I took this shot facing the other way a couple of weeks ago when it was still dark. I wasn't happy with it, I knew to maximize the shot it should be dawn facing the ocean. I took HDRs but it wasn't necessary, it was perfect back lighting where by properly exposing the ceiling I was underexposing the background to the degree necessary.

corn field.

Piers Park East Boston - Today was a Saturday although I did not have a wedding lined up but just an engagement shoot in the late afternoon. Oh what to do after the esession with the family than zip to Piers Park for a quick 'day' pic opportunity. For shots like this it takes patience and time and it got pretty cool quickly after the sun went down! Luckily I was prepared in my trusty shorts (yes it's November) and sweater although the wife and kids weren't expecting the length it took for the sun to finally be set and the darkness to fall upon the city! They went and played at the park and I stayed and captured the serene scene of the city as the darkness falls behind the skyline.
