Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis

I like this photo for the action and that the Commissioner's full face is seen as a reflection.

You can see one of my favorite buildings, the Hancock Tower, in the distance. This shot is literally at the corner of my street, not ten doors down from my home.
The response to this tragedy was immediate and perfectly coordinated. The medical and law enforcement personnel did an outstanding job...I was in awe as I watched them in action.
A day that began so gloriously and ended in such tragedy...sad to see what this world's coming to.

Perhaps one of best night shots in a long time. I went to Boston this evening as the temps rose to 65 degrees with a slight breeze! It is November and figured only a matter of time before it's cold and snow is on the ground. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try to get a few night shots of this famous New England City. Standing alone with the bright lights reflecting off the clouds I captured this 10 second exposure. Press 'L' to view on black.

Wind often blows across Lake Champlain from the west. Anything not anchored on the eastern shoreline is altered, sometimes in the most pleasing way.
The Springfield Tornado, 2 Years Later
Via Flickr:
The so-called "Springfield Tornado" was a series of related tornadoes which ripped a path 1/4 mile wide by 39 miles long, from Westfield MA to Charlton MA, more or less along Route 20.
I toured the eastern half of the path (from Monson to Sturbridge) today, nearly 2 years after the storm and this is what it looks like from start to finish: forests leveled and stripped bare.
