Mount Washington Auto Road
Via Flickr:
This here flickr friends is the reward for getting your butt out of bed at 1:30am, driving north for 2 hours and waiting in a line up of cars for 45 minutes to get a chance to shoot from 4000 feet. No I didn't make it to the top of Mount Washingon (6288 feet) in time for the sunrise but this my friend may be better than any shot I took from the top! Showing the auto road with my 2 favorite mountains Mount Adams (left) and Mount Madison (right) at sunrise is more than I could have hoped for.

The I Have To Shoot What?! Challenge for Week 34: Get Out And Shoot 3
A good photographer friend and I took the Mt Washington Sunrise Drive this morning, leaving our houses at 1am to meet up at 1:30 and take the 2.5 hour drive to the bottom of the auto road, waited in line for a half hour to get through the gates and take that treacherous and daunting 8-mile drive to the top, 6,288 feet above! I don't think I could have done it, so glad she drove! Amazing sunrise, great morning!
