The reason for my getting up early...NH showing all the beautiful layers of mountains as far as the eye can see! Mt. Washington is the highest peak in NH at 6288 feet.
A breat in the Presidential Mountain Range you can see the many different layers that NH has to offer of endless views. The days first light beaming on the rocky part of the mountain.

This here flickr friends is the reward for getting your butt out of bed at 1:30am, driving north for 2 hours and waiting in a line up of cars for 45 minutes to get a chance to shoot from 4000 feet. No I didn't make it to the top of Mount Washingon (6288 feet) in time for the sunrise but this my friend may be better than any shot I took from the top! Showing the auto road with my 2 favorite mountains Mount Adams (left) and Mount Madison (right) at sunrise is more than I could have hoped for.
The I Have To Shoot What?! Challenge for Week 34: Get Out And Shoot 3
A good photographer friend and I took the Mt Washington Sunrise Drive this morning, leaving our houses at 1am to meet up at 1:30 and take the 2.5 hour drive to the bottom of the auto road, waited in line for a half hour to get through the gates and take that treacherous and daunting 8-mile drive to the top, 6,288 feet above! I don't think I could have done it, so glad she drove! Amazing sunrise, great morning!
