I was setting on the porch having a cup of coffee, enjoying the view and something flying to a nearby flowerbed caught my eye, I got up and investigated and found it was a very large Robber Fly about 1 3/4 inches long, I've seen bigger ones out west but not here in Maine, the species here usually only average about 3/4 of an inch, it was hard to get decent shots but I managed to get four pretty good ones.
